The number of orders in China’s shipbuilding industry ranks first in the world

According to the latest statistics from authoritative research institutions in the world, as of early of February this year, the number of orders in China's shipbuilding industry was 96.85 million DWT, accounting for 46.9% of the global market share and continuing to remain the world's first.

The proportion of high value-added ship orders has increased significantly.In terms of deadweight tonnage, the proportion of container ship order has increased from 16.4% at the beginning of 2021 to the current 36.9%.

The proportion of ships powered by clean energy such as LNG will increase from 2.7% in early 2021 to 3.5% currently.From the perspective of shipyards, the total number of orders held by the top five shipbuilding enterprises in my country is 33.74 million DWT, accounting for 34.8% of the domestic market share, an increase of 1.1 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
