Alloy 2507 super duplex steel has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It is especially suitable for components in desalination plants, heat exchangers in seawater cold treatment plants, drive shafts for outgoing pipes in the ocean, containers in paper mills and petrochemical conveying tube etc. It can also be used in exposed external environments (such as bridges, sea-immersed buildings, etc.) for a long time. Due to its high strength, good plastic toughness, and slower ductile-brittle transition than carbon-steel ferritic stainless steels, 2507 steel also have good low temperature (-40°C) toughness.
