Hydraulic Towing Winch

Hydraulic Towing winch is subject to many uncertainties such as wind, waves and etc. during towing operations. The tugboat also produces six swaying motions such as rolling, pitching, yawing, surging, swaying and heaving around its original equilibrium position. When the hydraulic winch is operated under such a working environment, the speed regulation process is repeatedly impacted by the time-varying tension. At the same time, the direction of the tension of the hydraulic winch does not change during the working process. TUF Marine can build and desing its towing winch system with strong material and advanced computing model design to help the towing winch work stably in various sea conditions.

There are single drum, double drum, triple drum towing winches. For some deep sea towing winches, TUF Marine designs the drums with auto-tension function. In long-distance towing operation, the tension range is set according to the size of the towed object. When the tension between the tugboat and the towed object fluctuates due to wind and waves, the drum will automatically retract and release the cable to ensure the safety of towing and improve the ship staff working conditions. Some of the windlasses have dynamic braking system. When the tugboat is used as a platform for anchoring in deep sea, the system can control the anchoring speed within a certain value, prevent the anchor and chain from falling with gravity acceleration and endanger the safety of the tugboat.
