Vertical Hydraulic Mooring Capstan

The hydraulic mooring capstan is an equipment for mooring various ships when the ship arrives at the port or dock. It usually consists of a mooring head of a steel wire rope driven by a hydraulic power unit (HPU) within a range of 11-60 mm. The HPU device can be driven by a diesel or electric motor. Its function is the same as that of a mooring winch. Hydraulic mooring winches are also commonly used for anchoring ships. The type of material of the mooring line affects the size of the winch drum, the type of cable and bending radius, the occupied deck space, and the like. It is recommended to select the appropriate mooring line material for strength, flexibility, durability and running performance. Cables are recommended for large vessels and synthetic fibre ropes are recommended for small and medium vessels. Mooring capstans for different types of ships can be designed and produced by TUF Marine depending on the material and diameter of the cable.

Hydraulic Power Pack:
Hydraulic power-pack can drive alternatively the anchor Winch or the Capstan.
It is an electro-hydraulic power-unit which drives the brake and clutch of drum and accumulator.
With Complete oil tank including, oil fill cap vent, level oil with thermometer, alarms by low oil level and high temperature, return and suction filters, gate valves and emptying plug, cooler by sea water.
TUF also use high quality hydraulic valves including relief valves, counterbalance valves, check valves, pressure gauge, hoses, etc., They together guarantee the perfect working of the circuit.
